Vertically Landed Model Rocket Design Challenge
When considering the complexity of developing a feasible prototype of a vertical lander, it is a quote from a SpaceX spokesperson that seems to best capture the endeavor. They stated that it is “like launching a pencil over the Empire State building and having it land on a shoebox on the other sideā¦during a windstorm.” Vertical landing is complicated, and we are currently out in the field finalizing the challenge so be ready. In the meantime, we wanted to show you some of the activities that are occurring here.
